Solar Cell Small - 0.45W

Product Description

Packaged solar cell with barrel plug termination. This is a custom cell produced for SFE - not a small toy surplus item! This unit is rated for 4.5V open voltage and 100mA short circuit. We actually took a random unit outside and measured 4.95V open voltage and 94mA short circuit.



Termination is a 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel plug, center positive on a 2m cable. Mates directly with many of our development boards. Monocrystalline high efficiency cells at 15-15.2%. Unit has a clear epoxy coating with hard-board backing. Robust sealing for out door applications!

Seat padding so thin there are bolt marks in the vinyl after first use

I bought this stool looking for an adjustable height shop stool. As far as that goes, so far it is fine. It has a few inches of adjustable height, would be nice if it went lower, but I think the height and adjustment it does have is pretty standard. To go lower, get more range of travel etc, you have to look into products costing several times the amount of this one. Easy assembly, the wheels are fine and as you would expect, they roll around, don't stick, but will get stopped by anything small such as a cord, just as any other stool with wheels of this size would.The reason for my unfavorable rating is the seat pad. The foam has so little density to it that after using it for the first time I have impressions in the vinyl of the seat from sitting on the mounting bolts that the foam completely compresses around. I'm only 155 lbs so it's not as if I'm an above average weight or anything. You can just place your hand on the seat pad and compress the padding all the way down to the base with ease. To make this thing worthwhile and not uncomfortable to use the seat is going to need to be removed and a higher density foam pad put in, or you'll have to place a folded up towel or something else on the seat so you aren't always sitting on bolt heads.

I bought this chair from Harbor Freight for $25...There is only a few inches of height adjustment, the wheels roll well... just a very basic chair.

We got this for our 15 year old autistic daughter because she loves to scoot around on anything with wheels but is very hard on products. This is great because it is made for use in an auto garage so is very durable. scoots on carpet pretty well too!

Acts as both solar charger and lighting control

It was easy to wire up to my solar panel, battery, and charger. It is what you need if you want to wire up your own solar light. It will control the battery charging during the day and then turn your light on at night.I would have scored this higher except the documentation is lacking, the LED display does not seem to provide a useful function, and there is a intermittent switch that is also undocumented and does not seem to do anything.If the LED showed the solar panel voltage or battery voltage I would have rated it another star.I would buy this product again.

I bought this creeper to replace a cheap wooden one of my fathers that I broke. I have only used it once, and it does exactly what a creeper is supposed to. My father also likes it because it folds up for easier storage. Very good product for the money!

Perfect Space Saver!

I've only used this item once but it works as advertised. Rolls nicely, padding is comfortable. Perhaps they could have made it a bit lower by pushing the wheels out to the side. I LOVE the folding feature as it saves space in my small studio apartment and can also fit in the passenger foot well or my tiny trunk. It's also nice to have 6 wheels instead of only 4.

NOTICE: THIS IS NOT THE SAME PRODUCT I PURCHASED. THIS REVIEW BELONGS TO THE WHITE PANELPanel was received and appears to be as promised. My biggest concern is lifespan/warranty. Is it worth saving $60 (delivered price)with an unknown warranty, or better to spend the extra money on a good Kyocera panel with a 20 year warranty? Stay tuned - updates will follow in 6 months or if the panel fails.Update - Instapark raised their price since my purchase, and the price on Kyocera panels has come down. Considering there is no warranty information provided from Instapark (supposedly there is a two year warranty - but how do you return and how comprehensive is it?), and the lack of history of the company, I cannot recommend this product. This is true especially since you can buy a known brand, made in the US, with an extensive warranty and good service record for almost the same price.The product itself appears to be operating just fine so far, but where is the support if you need it?Update after 6 mos: The unit performed well over the summer. No signs of damage from the salt water. So I upgraded my rating to 4 stars. However, doing it over again - I still would by a Kyocera panel for the piece of mind that a good warranty would give me and to buy a comparably priced American product.

Installed 4 - 130 watt panels.No instructions.No Warrentee.Pkging was pretty good, lots of protection inside box.Frame is well made.Glass seems of heavy weight.J-Box seems well made, #12 AWG wire with MC4 connectors, good construction, nice seal.Silicon on back in every nook and cranny.Will see how long they last, they do feel like good quality panels.Panel operates as discribed on label on back of panel.Hope this helps...

Better Than Expected

I have bought a half dozen of these panels over the past eight months. The quality seems to be as good as most other panels I have looked at and the price is fair. What impressed me was how well they work. They easily put out the rated power on sunny days and even on cloudy days they still work reasonably well. I am using them as an off grid backup power supply. I want to end this project with a total of twelve panels before the end of the year. The only thing that concerned me was the lack any mention of a warranty. Still, I would recommend these panels. They are working great for me.
