By M. Torres
"I've been using the solar panel and battery pack since summer 2012. The kit comprises a small solar panel about 8 * 11 inches, a battery pack and a wall plug-in charger. The battery pack has one micro USB input for charging and two USB output, one rated 2 amps and the other 1 amp. Can fully charge USB equipment including tablets. The battery pack has button that if you click it will show the remaining power, leave it press and turns on. Plugged to the wall, the battery pack takes about 8-10 hours to fully charge. My experience with the battery pack has been good for over six months.Regarding the solar panel, my experience has been different. The solar panel is about the size of a paper open and can be closed to half the size, it has magnets to keep it closed and a small pouch one side to insert the battery pack while charging. The problem with the solar panel is that it fails to produce the rated watts even at midday without clouds and directly facing the sun. My solar panel is only producing about 1 watt. So when using the solar panel to charge the battery pack takes a whole week, which is impractical. Then I tried another brand 5 watts charger and was able to charge the battery pack in a day and a half. I contacted Nature Power to let them know that my solar panel was not producing the advertised power, their response was basically that it produce what ever it says on the box and ignored me after that."
