Got this for my wife. She loves it. Especially the lantern feature in the tent or bathroom when camping. Bright and last a long time.

Since I already have a few Goal Zero products and have been impressed, I looked forward to this addition.However, the item arrived and did not function properly, (the light flickered and the switch seemed to be balky).Reinstalled another set of fresh batteries (Goal Zero AA's), but still the same problem.Received a return label and had to pay additional to the return the faulty item.Now over a month since the return and still no refund or replacement.Disappointed and would not recommend BlueKangaroos.

I like this dual function camp light for use in the tent and around camp. It is made of a rubber feeling body and end cap around the light. This end cap pulls out which then exposes a frosted plastic center area which then glows like a mild lantern. Thus, you can use it as a flash light or a lantern. Pulling the lens out moves the reflector above the LED bulb which then causes it to shine through the sides of the plastic instead of through the front lens.It works well as a camp light for tent/car camping. It's a bit too large to be a backpacking or carry light. It's not real bright at 60 Lumens, but as a tent light that's fairly nice. It has a solid feel and works well for the kids/grand-kids giving them a durable light to tote around. You don't want your kids losing your $50 fenix right?Pros are that it runs off of AA batteries which are handy and easily rechargeable. It uses low power and thus lasts about 10 hours off a standard set of NiMH batteries. I realized it would be fairly large since it holds 3-AA's but it was even larger than I expected.4 Stars, works nicely for kids but I would prefer more compact. The Goal Zero brand seems to be primarily higher end stuff and this isn't in that same class.
