Charge 4 AAs @ 50mA with this panel!These PowerFilm flexible solar modules can be used alone to direct-power your small DC project (anything that runs off 6V or less and requires 50mA of current or less) - or, they can be used in your battery-charger project to store energy for later use. BATTERY-CHARGING TIPSFor battery charging, the voltage of your solar panel MUST be higher than the voltage of the battery that you want to charge. We recommend using the following guidelines: at least 2.0 volts to charge one 1.2 volt battery ,at least 3.6 volts to charge two 1.2 volt batteries wired in series,at least 4.8 volts to charge three 1.2 volt batteries wired in series, at least 6.0 volts to charge four 1.2 volt batteries wired in series.Multiple panels can be wired together to increase voltage or current, and the panels can be cut (following directions!) for your special project.Each module is encapsulated in 3 mil clear polyester film.Specs: Output 50mA @ 6V ,Open-circuit voltage: 8V ,Total size: 4.5" X 3", Total solar cell area: 3.9" X 3", Total thickness: 0.22mm (8 mil), Weight: a few grams

For a specific project I was searching for a solar film that will deliver 6V 50mA and I was impressed with the description and the price of this film given what it was supposed to deliver.But... under the best of conditions - direct sun exposure for many hours (over many days) the film delivered no more than 1.5 V. I contacted the company and have not received a response. I decided to keep the film as the time to return, fill in the forms and cost of mail would have exceeded the cost of the film. I must say that I am very disappointed indeed. I would stay away from this Powerfilm 6V 50mA Flexible Solar Panel with Wires MPT6-75.Ed

This item does not live up to its description, you may get 6v out of it in an open circuit with just a tester and the sun going supernova.
