It's a great MODEL [overpriced at that] but by AC powered, they do not mean that you plug it into the wall [which was why I got it- that's hilarious]. Perhaps they meant you can put it in front of your airconditioner to spin the blades?? I tried that, too, for a laugh, and it did not work. This is a sleek MODEL but extremely overpriced.

My grandson loved this, especially because he had done his Science Fair project on Wind Turbines (and got a "Superior" in the Ohio State competition. Great item Amazon!!!

I would not want it just because it runs on external power whats the purpose?...lol I'll look for the solar one or get a kids kit b4 i get this...haha
