Product Description
Go Power! GPC Smart Control is used to convert the GPC-30, 45, 55, and 75 into 3 stage chargers. This device charges the batteries using the bulk, absorption and float charges that make the batteries charge much faster. It simply plugs into the telephone port on top of the charger as well as all installation instructions are provided.

The product description says "Converts any of the GPC chargers to a 3 stage smart charger. Charge batteries faster and more efficiently" but this is not true. The GPC-55 Max Converter Go Power! GPC-55-MAX 55 Amp 4-Stage Converter/Battery Chargerhas no provisions for attaching this module, even though the packaging says it does. Evidently the "smart" technology is built into the "Max" versions of the GPC chargers but this is no where disclosed. The GPC-55 product manual available online is no help as it is for the non-"Max" version of the GPC-55(charger ships without a manual). Inquiries to the manufacturer went unresolved until after Amazon return window expired - so buyer beware.
