Tired of all the noise and smell from your diesel generator? The Instapark SPCC-20W offers you a quiet, clean while carbon-free alternative. Capable of converting virtually unlimited solar energy into clean, green, most importantly, free electricity, the Instapark SPCC-20W includes a 20-Watt mono-crystalline solar panel with solar charge controller.
This solar panel is made of high efficiency mono-crystalline solar cells embedded in transparent vinyl acetate behind tempered glass with heavy back sheet ensuring maintenance free performance. Unlike amorphous solar panels, which only last about 5-7 years of continuous use, mono-crystalline solar panels can still retain over 80% of efficiency even after 25 years of continuous use. Also, the mono-crystalline panels are much more efficient and thus smaller in size while producing higher wattage.
This kit is designed and engineered to primarily charge 12-Volt batteries, which store and provide usable power when needed, ideal for powering your RVs, ATV, marine boats and electronic equipments. The included solar charge controller helps prevent any connected batteries from overcharging. Other than recreational applications, solar power can also help lower your energy bills by reducing your dependence on the main electrical grid and provide back-up power during power outages.
All Instapark solar panels have a 5-year limited product warranty that covers its Photovoltaic modules to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal application, installation, use and service conditions, and a power warranty that guarantees a power output greater than 80% of the minimum peak power as specified within 25 years from the date of delivery. If the PV modules fail to conform to these warranties, then Instapark will, at its sole discretion, either repair or replace the product.

Good supplier

Verry good solar panel that include a USB outlet on the solar controler ( Not for I-phone or others electronics ). Work well on sunny or not sunny day. Nice to have a twelve feet wire, it will eliminate the outside connection. Very responsable supplier I had a problem with power of delivered pannel and they correct it promptly.

Need to De-rate for 12 volt Battery

They may claim it to be a '20 watt' panel, but if you are to hook this up to a 12 volt battery, you will only get 15 watts, just so you realize it. Charging voltage is 13-14 volts times max amps of 1.17 equals 15.2-16.4 watts, minus ??? watts from power needed for the charger.

Solar Panel OK

I have not actually done all of the tests necessary to determine ifthe panel I received is putting out 20W in in full sunlight, but it does seem to be working. It does look different slightly from what is pictured withI would not trust the attached charger though. I have a feeling that it is "trickle draining" the battery at night. Also, it has a USB port built into the side - which has a warning on it not to use with sensitive electronic devices like the iPod and iPhone. I would just tape it up just to avoid blowing out your precious USB powered electronics.Of course, I have this hooked up to a 12V battery and a quality inverter. This panel is fine for maintaining one or two 12V batteries at full charge. It is not powerful enough of course for any type of continuous power draining applications.I bought it primarily as a battery charger.
