A nice knock off from China that represents a significant savings over the European professional tool from Multi-Contact that I would never be able to afford. It gets the job done. Merchant shipped very fast priority mail.

Pre made MC4 cables cost big bucks! Anyone who does not need more than the occasional cable will not get much milage out of this tool. But if you are an experimenter, hobbyist, or professional and expect to use many custom length cables, then this gizmo is a worthwhile investment. It is well made and really works! Because it is an odd shape and has a hinged swing out lug holder that could break easily if jumbled in a box with other tools, I am going to keep this crimper in its own small dedicated toolbox along with the connectors. Excellent product!
