I had gotten the Guide 10 plus Adventure kit. I needed the adapter and a set of AAA to run my portable speakers for backpacking. The Goal Zero website says that the adapter comes with the AAA batteries. I took the chance that this set of AAA batteries had the adapter. When I got the order, the adapter was there, and I was happy. Adapter and AAA batteries fit perfectly.

This is more of an FYI since I just got the product and have been wondering for the longest time if it had the insert/adapter. At first I was kinda skeptical after reading all the reviews. Some came with an Insert/Adapter, most didn't. But after reading Clint's assurance that the products ordered through Amazon will come with the Insert/adapter, I decided to risk it. And as the title says, mine came with an insert/adapter. I'll post a pic of it later.And oh, I ordered it directly from Amazon because if you'll notice from the product description, there is no mention of the inclusion of an insert/adapter. So assuming you buy it from a third party seller, they could just send you the old version WITHOUT the insert/adapter and they won't be liable for misrepresentation. I specifically ordered it from Amazon since there was a guarantee from Clint (Goal Zero Manufacturer) that if we (the customer/s) don't get the insert, we could just call him at the number he provided and ask for it, free of charge. Good thing I didn't have to go through all that hassle.Will update this comment on the performance of the product after I get to use it.

I have ordered (2) Goal Zero Guide 10's and (2) orders of GZ aaa batteries from Amazon and NONE of them came with the adapter. I read Clint Eastman's response to one of these reviews, assuring everyone that all Goal Zero aaa batteries ordered from Amazon would include the adapter from now on. It's September 20, 2012 & STILL NO ADAPTER INCLUDED!!! I tried calling Goal Zero customer service and got "holding music" for 2 minutes and then silence. Called 3x & same thing every time.**Update** 9/28/12 - Called Goal Zero support. 888-794-6250 (A+) Excellent support, when they finally answer. They sent me the aaa battery adapter for the GZ Guide 10, no charge. They even called back to follow up on the calls they had missed. Amazing customer support from Goal Zero. Looks like,(from the other reviews) when you order your GZ aaa batteries from this source on Amazon, there's a 50/50 chance that you will get the adapter.
