Ramsond solar panels use the most premium components and raw material. Ramsond solar panels use only 'Grade A' quality, high purity silicone cells. Ramsond does not incorporate used, rejected, refused or second-hand cells into its solar panels. Furthermore, Ramsond utilizes the most advanced technologies in the production of its panels, such as a fully automated, microprocessor guided, precision, robotic arms guided soldering process of the solar cells. The solar cells are coated with a blue nitride anti-reflection coating. This special coating process provides a uniform blue hue color and increases light absorption in all weather conditions. The encapsulation and lamination process used with Ramsond solar cells consists of a process that ensures true atmospheric vacuum and encapsulation of cells within lamination layers of High Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (High-EVA) and DuPontTM Tedlar®. Each panel is equipped with low-iron, patterned, tempered glass. The glass has been manufactured, again, through a proprietary process, providing up to 60% more strength, as compared to conventional photovoltaic (PV) glass. As a result, Ramsond panels are among the world's strongest, with hail impact survival index rating of 25mm@80 km/h. This means the specialized PV glass of Ramsond panels can withstand hail size of 1+ inch, traveling at speeds of approximately 50 miles per hour.

I hooked up five 10W Ramsond panels and a SunRay 1500-3000W inverter the other day out back. My wife and I wanted to do a little experiment to eventually supplement our energy costs and see if having a backup system was feasible for our home use. So far so good. Initially we only hooked up two of the panels and eventually all five into a small array through the inverter/generator. As of right now, the system is running quite well and provides enough power to serve as a test once we invest in a larger system. The construction of the panels is more than adequate. We did have some issues getting it all set up, but that was partly our fault for not checking how to hook everything up beforehand. We'll probably upgrade to a 100W panel or ten later on, but as a test it seems like several 10W panels & one SunRay are an efficient beginner's kit. I'm sure I'll be posting an update once we upgrade to a heftier system.

Fantastic 10W panel and only 12" x 13"! Connected the panel to a Yuasa 7 A-Hr 12V battery through a home-brew solar power battery charger. Very happy with the panel and its ability to maintain a charge to the battery and run the low-power equipment attached. It is truly a 10W panel and I can easily draw 0.8 Amps without any reduction in voltage at 12.5 Volts. (10W = 12.5V x 0.80A)
