I loved this charge controller because of the lcd screen. You can see straight away exactly whats going on with the batteries and solar panels. And this one is the cheapest lcd model available. Worth paying more for an lcd screen model i think. I had it looking after a 7 ah battery in a shed that i used to power lights. I used a small 10 w solar panel which provided plenty of power on a good day. Everything was fine for a few months and then the screen began to shut off at night then come on in the day. This did not happen before. I thought maybe a setting must have somehow changed, but a couple of weeks later the screen went blank. I think (not sure) that the device still works but with no screen because the battery did not over charge. But i dont trust it anymore so i replaced it.I bought another and just hope that this first one was a dud. But i wouldnt trust it on any system that was really important. Any problems with this one and i'll have to go for a cheaper model with no lcd that is probably much more reliable. Its easy to use, and the instructions, though in not very good english, were fine.
