Product Description
The grape solar 200-watt off-grid solar panel kit is ideal for a variety of applications, including rvs, boats, 12 volt battery charging, small pumps, charging small electronic devices and operating led lights. Made with high efficiency crystalline solar cells for years of service, this solar kit is easy to install and virtually maintenance free. An anodized aluminum frame and a sealed junction box make the panel weatherproof for outdoor use. A two diode bypass minimizes power drop caused by shade. You can easily add additional panels for more power. This system will provide approximately 600-watt hours or 50 amp hours of charge per day. The kit includes: 2-piece 100-watt mono crystalline solar panels, a 30 amp digital charge controller, and 450-watt inverter with two outlets, cables and manual.

I have done quite a bit of researches on the solar panel components for my solar panel project. I have chosen to purchase the Grape Solar panel kit based on the quality of the components and its price per watt for the solar panels. The charge controller and inverter are from Xantrex which is a known reliable brand. After doing some additional comparison on the components, I purchased the Grape Solar GS-100-KIT 100-Watt Off-Grid Solar Panel Kit instead of this as I wanted a true sine-wave inverter which produces smoother AC current for my appliances.Here are some details on the components that come with this kit :- Solar Panel : 100W 36 cells Moncrystaline panel with a 10 year limited warranty on power output ≥ 90% of the power rating- Charge Controller : this is the Xantrex C35 model which is a pretty good quality unit which handles upto 35A of charge current- Inverter : this is the Xantrex XPOWER INVERTER 450 which is a modified sine-wave inverter handling upto a 450 W load. I purchased a higher-end Xantrex PROWatt 600 Inverter, Model# 806-1206 inverter as I preferred true sine-wave AC output for my appliancesI guess you can't go wrong by choosing either the GS100 or the GS200 kit and the decision should be based on the type of appliances you want to run the system with. True sine-wave inverters produce very low harmonic distortion and cleaner power for your appliances.

I bought this for a DIY solar installation, and after I sent back my 60W Sunforce kit. The quality of the Grape Solar system was way higher. Like the other person said in their review, I went with the 600W Xantrex inverter. All is functioning perfectly. I had a few questions and tech support answered their phone! Highly recommended.
